I have this adapter and it was at first a no fit in the sawzall. I loosened the screws holding this together and installed it in the saw then tightened the screws back up. Problem solved. As for bending, I have not experienced this issue and I have used this at several angles for different sensations.

Installation: When installing you will need to remove the guard and possibly the rubber casing. Make sure to tighten the chuck as tight as possible. If the chuck is holding the adapter too loosely, it may whip around and break.
